Happy Birthday Mom

This is in memory of my special mother. Today would have been her 70th birthday. She loved summertime and everything about it.
This picture was taken at Nancy's house in Venice Florida 6 months before we lost her to Scleroderma. She sure enjoyed that visit, filled with smiles and hugs. I know she knew how much she was truly loved......
I sure miss her..... she was precious to all of us.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Bill! And to all the father's that we know. We are finally members of the SOC Boat Club! This weekend we.....
Camped with Dezi, jumped in the kids bouncy play gym, danced, (look at Bill with his hands in the air).....had a camp fire with our new tent that sleeps 8.... we are going to put a disco ball in the main room next time and party like rock stars!
Ah... those late night group pics.....
Dan and Sandy are our sponsors for the Boat Club. They are on the left.

If you look real close you will see Bill on his raft. I think is flexing? What a stud! We all tied our boats together getting ready for next weekend's tie off for the Boat club. Every year they get as many boats together and tie them all side by side to try and break last year's record. At least this year they will have one more boat! Still thinking of what to name it. I think we may have picked out the name, stay tuned..
Scott and his friend Deana eating ice cream. Vanilla Yummy!
A view from our camp site looking out at our boat.... awww..... we love it!

The girls posing with the Grill Master 2008... Mr. George. He won with his secret recipe for Jack Daniels BBQ meatballs! They were really yummy too!

LOOK.... we
got our name on the board for a dock our first weekend as member's. How cool is that? That is Chip the Dock master, he's a real cool guy.

I just like this pic of Bill. When your boat gets into shallow water, the guys take the boats and drag them to different spot. He is soooo strong!

Ca D' Zan - Radovan Weekend

From the Ringling Brothers Ca D' Zan, Bubbles on the Bay Extravaganza, to our all day on the Ta- hoe... with Radovan there never seems to be a dull moment in our lives. From sipping the best champange and imported cheese , followed by nothing but desserts a chocolate junkie would kill for.... Pam and her friend Julie smoozed with the Sarasota elites. ( I guess )? The King of the Circus, John Ringling and his wife, Mable built this Italian Renaissance style mansion between 1924-1926 overlooking the Sarasota Bay. A definate must see! Next a fun filled day on the Ta-Hoe with friends and Dezi. Chill-lax-in at sand dollar island all day topping off with a late afternoon cocktail at the Hyatt with new boating friends, to wrap it up with pizza and movies. Did I mention we had a blast?

Feeding Time.. LOOK CLOSE...

Close call... right outside our front door after I took the Pee and The Wee and Dezi out for their morning duties; lookie what was staring me in the eye? I guess I ruffled this big guys feathers.... he was about 20 feet from us!*@#? Needless to say I was in the condo- up the stairs - and took this pic within seconds all timing in at olympic trial speed. Thank goodness I've been working out!

Drink goggles....

This picture was taken in April at Siesta Key. Blake came out for his Senior spring break. He jammed his schedule full of exciting things from, getting to see his two cousins Alexis and Martine whom he hadn't seen in 17 years... spent many hours on the beach, went kayaking in the mayakka state park with the alligators, ate sushi for the first time, play countless hours of pool on our new pool table...( quite good too might I add), partied like a rock star at our bbq with 80 people attending , drank at the sniki tiki, and the daquari deck, went boating on our new boat, and topped it of with skydiving with his brother Brock. Now he get's to attend NJC college and further his education. So much fun!

Chain of Events

Sunday was June 1st. Offically the first day of hurricane season in Florida. The Yemma's chose to go boating and bbq with friends. Brit, our adopted daughter always brings a piece of Kurt Gowdy to the party... it went a lil somethinglike this... hey Pam and Bill; isn't that a racoon making off with your buns off the picinc table? Oh my goodness she was right! A very large racoon too! So we settle back in the water chillin... who needs buns any way?.. we have steak marinated in Pam's famous ginger teriyaki sauce. Back to the water...hey what is that I feel? It's a sea cucumber....ewwwww it's 12 inches long and it's prickly... touch it Pam... where did Brit find that? Kinda cool really, maroon colored and never seen one other than in a fish tank. Bill put it back. Next Brit finds sand dollars, we find them a lot. No biggy , but cool... We are hungry. Brit stays for a swim, with a MANATEE!!! That is right.... about a foot away she see bubbles and looks a manatee right in the eye and about jumps out of her skin, then can't scream loud enough to the group eating and dancing so happy on the beach waving at her. This is the friend that took Bill, my sister and her boys and myself kayaking with the alligators. She always brings a bit of wild kingdom with her wherever she goes....
